Guido van der Kooij is a multidisciplinary artist from the Netherlands.
His main interest are, the way we Human beings are connected to technology and what influence culture
has on technology. Making these connections visible while always thinking about the agency that
technology has on humans. In his works he uses a scientific approach to tackle subjects where
Communication, Traces and Glitches are central. He positions himself as a Techno-Archaeologist.
His works are mostly installations where he uses audiovisual elements to create not only interesting
projections but also experiences.Electronics, sensorial, lights and audio are frequently used
techniques.
Pushing systems to its limits to expose glitches and uses those as inspiration for his work.
Taking systems out of context,Translating to different mediums, upscaling or breaking ensures
interesting new visuals.
